About the role

Salary £25,000 pa plus benefits depending on experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an IT Graduate, who is on track for a 2:1 degree, working within the European IT team, to promote and coordinate the effective use of Desktop IT and Office systems across all European businesses and sites.

This role would be ideal for a IT Graduate with a passion for training and supporting others, as you will be required to develop and provide IT training solutions. Previous experience of mentoring individuals or groups, or promoting learning and development opportunities would be beneficial.

About You

You must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the use and features Microsoft Office as the job holder will be responsible for managing the IT training and education of individuals and groups in best practice use of Desktop and Office systems. This role requires a level of planning and organisation to ensure that robust processes and communication are in place to support implementation of new and changed IT applications.

Although the role will be based in the North East, you must be willing and able to travel occasionally to each of our business locations including Europe.

About the role

To be involved in the day-to-day production of the Acrylic Sheeting Continuous Cast sheet plant. The incumbents are charged with the responsibility of working through a series of tasks to assist plant in meeting objectives. Additionally, the incumbents are responsible for the upkeep of the plant which includes belt security and housekeeping.

Dimensions

  • Non-financial: The incumbent Material Handlers are responsible for the safety, health, and performance of themselves and also their peers.

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Special Features

Managing resources is a significant task in that the Acrylic sheeting plant has one production line on which several thousand sku’s(ranging in product, color, thickness and size)are produced, as well as development of new products and processes. The equipment consists of two highly polished stainless steel belts worth millions of dollars and requiring several years of lead time for deliver, therefore belt security is of utmost importance.

About the role

The overall objective is to provide production assistance and production accounting support to the Acrylic Sheeting Department at Fite Road. while maintaining manufacturing excellence and zero SHE incidents.

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Provides support to the Production Department with daily production reporting.
  • Reviews, maintains, and monitors daily production schedules and reports discrepancies/shortages ensuring the accuracy of production scheduling.
  • Prepares and issues daily schedules, paperwork and pallet labels to the production area for ensuring the correct product production needed for stock and customer orders.
  • Maintains yield accuracy for both the Production and Accounting Departments with daily and monthly production reporting and generates management reports that are used to monitor manufacturing goals and efficiencies.
  • Organizes and maintains the Acrylic Sheeting daily production records, lab reports and shipment documentation to the CDC warehouse in accordance with area needs, records retention and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborates with the Plant Manager, Production/Training Supervisor, Area Engineer/Quality Manager, Color Specialist, Production Scheduler and First Line Supervisors resulting in improved time management of specialized skills/tasks for each.
  • Provides back-up support for the Production Scheduler with production scheduling and raw material procurement.
  • Performs work order reconciliation of products daily and monthly to ensure an accurate cost of manufacturing as well as areas of improvement for yields in product families.

Special Features

The Acrylic Sheeting Production Coordinator is relied upon to gather, organize, analyze and distribute vital information in a timely basis. The Production Coordinator handles multiple tasks and demonstrates strong self-management. The Production Coordinator works closely with the Quality Manager, Production Scheduler, and the CDC personnel to ensure that all products are released and classified to the appropriate category and in a timely manner. The Production Coordinator works closely with the Plant Accountant and the IT department with identifying and correcting issues around data accuracy; and, to improve the data accuracy and efficiency and data entry tasks.

About You

  • High School Diploma required, Associate Degree or some college courses desired.
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, CSVA, and Reflections/ASK software packages with a minimum of three years office experience.

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Promote a safe work environment by using safe work procedures and advising proper guidelines for the purchase, installation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosis of problems to a root cause failure and facilitate repairs as needed.
  • To install, maintain, and repair magnetic motor starters and associated control circuits at voltages up to 2400 in a safe manner.
  • To install, service, and repair electric or pneumatic transmitters, analyzers, and gas chromatographs.

About You

  • Must have a Shelby County Journeyman’s electrical license and ISA Certification in instrumentation. If employee is hired with 1 (one) of the 2 (two) required license/certification they must then obtain the second license/certification within 6 months of employment.
  • Employee will begin as a “B” Mechanic until they acquire skills of an “A” Mechanic within a reasonable amount of time (6-12months).
  • Must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts, 24-7 operation

The Opportunity

Incumbent to provide internal search and recruitment advisory and staff training services to the Americas HR team and other Mitsubishi businesses in order to source job candidates in the most efficient and cost effective manner. They will develop and communicate an effective and consistent Employee Value Proposition (EVP) via appropriate social media and related communication channels. These efforts will support effective corporate branding initiatives to ensure quality external candidates are attracted to Mitsubishi Chemical Americas as an employer of choice.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage internal and external recruitment strategies to identify the best candidates/talent in the market.
  • Produce a shortlist of quality candidates in a cost effective and timely fashion to meet the immediate recruitment, attrition and longer term succession needs of the Americas region. As many roles are of a specialist, technical and niche nature, this position will involve not only active recruitment but also a high degree of passive search activity to identify candidates with relevant experience.
  • Manage and regularly update the company’s career page on LinkedIn and other social media channels to ensure effective marketing of Lucite’s and Mitsubishi Chemical Americas career opportunities.
  • Develop a number of appropriate KPIs and benchmarks to measure effectiveness of the external hiring process and develop a strategy to continuously improve upon those processes to help differentiate LI & MRA as employers of choice.
  • Develop a consistent and coherent EVP for the company that will enable the communication activities required both internally and externally via website, intranet and social media platforms. This will involve working with internal professionals and/or design and communications consultants to develop the careers section of the website, intranet etc. as well as printed materials for publications, university recruitment and professional job fairs.
  • Review the hiring requirements with the respective site HR teams and plan the appropriate candidate search while taking into account the local labor market so that suitable candidates are identified as quickly as possible.
  • Lead the process of identifying passive candidates who may be interested in careers with LI & Mitsubishi, make contact with them and encourage them to apply for active vacancies or maintain a dialogue so that they are already open to an approach should a vacancy arise.
  • Network with external organizations across the Americas to gather information on recruitment and employment trends, skills shortages etc. and develop strategies to mitigate any risks to LI and other Mitsubishi companies posed by these factors.
  • Work with existing HR teams to continually develop and improve hiring processes, including critical orientation and mentoring processes, to enhance both candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Develop and manage the university graduate attraction and recruitment process for the Americas to ensure that a consistent pipeline of quality recruits are sourced for the region and ensure cross business experience is included in their development process.
  • Will function as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing geographic and functional labor market expertise to influence talent management programs and strategies. Facilitate and support a mentoring program for all professional hires to promote the orientation and assimilation of new recruits.
  • Leverage technology including the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track and manage the applicant pool and Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) tools to develop robust candidate sourcing.
  • Guide/train supervisory personnel in capability/competency based interviewing other selection techniques that are both effective and legally compliant. Incumbent must have a proficiency in Behavioral Event Interviewing skills and support such competency among those involved in the interview process.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team in Beaumont and help continue our sites development and growth. You will be responsible for ensuring we meet or exceed Lucite and Industry engineering standards for the technical aspects of mechanical maintenance work. This is a key role for us and you will work closely with colleagues across our business to identify, engineer and implement mechanical solutions or improvements to equipment.

Working directly to the Site Maintenance & Reliability Manager, you will have proven experience gained within the Chemicals industry and will be confident in working with operations and maintenance colleagues to improve the reliability of both rotating and stationary equipment. You will be a change agent and comfortable with taking ownership and accountability for on-going and project work as the mechanical lead.

We are passionate about Health, Safety and Environment and this role will play a key part in ensuring our safety standards, policies and procedures are fit for purpose and that our colleagues go home safely at the end of their working day. You will lead our Process Hazard, Root Cause Failure analysis, and reliability maintenance studies, developing maintenance strategies to ensure assets are available to the business as required in an effort to achieve World Class reliability and maintenance effectiveness. You will create long range plans for mechanical equipment and provide adequate training for colleagues as well as being a resource for our manufacturing colleagues when they require support.

About You

You will have a strong background of mechanical systems, and an ABS in Mechanical Engineering is required. As such there will be significant opportunities to develop your career within our business, knowledge of Process Equipment, including piping, valves, pumps, tanks and pressure vessels is essential as well as an understanding of process safety management. 10+ years of experience in static equipment reliability is required, general understanding of metallurgy, and codal compliance (API 510 and API 570) is desired.

You will have strong interpersonal skills, determination and an analytical approach to problem solving, making sure that the root cause is understood before actions are taken to rectify an issue. Most importantly you will be a self-starter with a desire to achieve results.

The Opportunity

The primary function of this position is the efficient production of electrolyte solution for lithium ion batteries. In addition, the individual will be responsible for clean room routines, operating equipment, recording and reviewing documentation, and supporting environmental monitoring routines.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Operate production equipment in the manufacturing of chemical products
  • Receive and review order instructions (Batch Records)
  • Set-up, operating and monitoring of chemical transfer equipment.
