About the role

We are currently recruiting for an HR and L&D Administrator to to provide a range of administrative services to the EMEA HR and L&D team.

This is a varied role providing administrative support across a number of HR and L&D activities including recruitment, on-boarding, absence management and the co-ordination and recording of internal and external training events/courses. As well as working with the HR and L&D team there will be a high level of interaction with employees at all levels within the Company and external parties such as training providers, candidates and system suppliers. Strong communication skills are therefore essential to be able to confidently deal with and resolve issues and enquiries.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator, ideally with experience of working within or supporting a HR and/or L&D function. The ability to flexibly prioritise conflicting demands to meet tight and changing timescales is essential as well as a high degree of analytical thinking to be able to identify opportunities to create workflow efficiency improvements. Strong IT skills are essential and previous experience of using HR and L&D systems such as Northgate Arinso, Saba, E-Arcu and on-line psychometric testing systems would be an advantage. About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join our Lab team at Cassel in Billingham. The role of the Laboratory Analyst is to provide 24 hour, 7 day a week analytical support to the Cassel site. The role is varied incorporating a range of analytical techniques; analysing routine, environmental and final product samples. There is a requirement to carry out calibration, maintenance and trouble-shooting of laboratory equipment.

We are looking for someone who has previous laboratory experience and a good knowledge of chemistry. At Lucite International we are passionate about safety standards and as such you will to have an equally high concern for standards with regard to SHE and work compliance. You will be results orientated, able to manage priorities effectively and be flexible when facing challenging situations. About you

Ideally you will also have a very good knowledge of GC, IC, HPLC, Titration, NMR and Spectrophotometer methods, NVQ2 or 3 in Laboratory Activities, Chemistry qualification – ideally ‘A’ level, Air emission sampling and previous experience of working on a chemical manufacturing site.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out quality control tests to ensure safe, efficient testing to meet the business quality and volume requirements.

Practical problem solving and a focus on continuous improvement and high quality standards are also essential. Additionally, you will work flexibly; plan, prioritise and manage your time effectively; and develop your own skills and knowledge to understand the business product ranges, production schedules and specifications.

About you

Ideally you will be qualified to A level in Chemistry or a related subject (or equivalent), preferably with experience of Laboratory systems.

This role will initially be a temporary contract, with the expectation that following a period of three to six months we would be able to offer a permanent role to the right candidate.

About the role

Provide day-to-day technical support for Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) issues at the plant.   • Provide troubleshooting and problem solving expertise during breakdowns.
  • Identify and troubleshoot common power distribution issues such as ground faults and single phasing, and size electrical gear for new installations in accordance with current codes.
  • Support capital projects including developing scope, cost estimates, project documents, and construction bid packages. Evaluate bid proposals, select contractors, follow construction work and start up new equipment.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis as needed.

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet production and customer requirements
  • Provide detailed status of material availability, inventory and communicate constraints to schedule
  • Prepare production orders for the production of product based on master production schedule, customer forecast and inventory levels

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Promote a safe working environment by using safe work procedures daily and advising proper guidelines for the purchase, installation, and safe maintenance of mechanical equipment on the plant site.
  • Assist in diagnosis of problems to a root cause failure and facilitate repairs as needed.
  • To provide expertise to help develop reliability improvements and then assist with implementing approved projects.

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of pumps and associated equipment.

About You

  • Possess the following basic mechanical skills:
    • Obtain an acceptable score on the appropriate Work Keys skill tests.
    • Three or more years’ experience in maintaining a chemical plant.
    • Able to read/interpret mechanical drawings (single line, schematic, P&I)
    • Use basic hand tools and operate basic shop tools
    • Measure, sketch, fabricate, and install threaded pipe
    • Knowledge of safe access to work including scaffolding requirements
    • Align a pump with a motor using a dial indicator instrument
    • Able to torque tighten various threaded fasteners
    • Properly use chokers to rig equipment

    • Code weld pipe in the 6G position
    • Perform and interpret vibration analysis

About the role

Direct the day-to-day production of the MCIS Ionic Solutions Inc. plant. The incumbents are charged with the responsibility of delivering the plants goals or zero injuries and Class C or D environmental releases while meeting all yearly production goals(throughput, yield, etc.). Additionally, the incumbents are responsible for the upkeep of the plant which includes belt security and housekeeping.

Non-financial: The incumbent shift supervisors are responsible for the safety, health, and performance of ten wage roll employees each.

Financial: The incumbents play a significant role in all plant financial objectives (safety, throughput, yield, uptime, fixed and variable cost controls)

Principlal Accountabilities

  • Provide a safe work environment to themselves, their employees, and contractor’s so as to achieve the plant’s year on year goal of no injuries.
  • Operate plant in a manner so as not to have any environmental class C or class D releases.
  • Manage resources so as to achieve established and agreed upon production goals(throughput, yield, uptime, and product mix).
  • Manage equipment so as to keep maintenance costs at a minimum.
  • Maintain operating expenses so as to achieve all fixed and variable cost objectives.
  • Coordinate production with area planner to meet all business commitments.
  • Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to allow for timely and efficient equipment repair.
  • Review all of the operator’s logs and forms, Raw Material Receiving Reports. Update Utilities Spreadsheets, Generate Daily Work Instructions.
  • Monitor, FIFO, Batch Cycle Times, Monthly Raw Material Usage and Products Produced
  • Provide technical training and assistance as well as process knowledge to operation personnel
  • Develop, review, update & enforce plant work instructions and procedures.

  • Complete Miscellaneous reports: Special Works, JSA’s, MOC’s, Trouble Reports, Incident Reports, as needed
